Five Wishes – An advance care directive created by the non-profit organization Aging with Dignity. Originally introduced in 1996 as a Florida-only document, it is currently recognized in 42 states. It combines a living will and a health care power of attorney.

CAPS, National Association of Home Builders www.nahb.org The Certified Aging in Place Specialist training program was developed by the National Home Builders, 50+ Housing Council and AARP.   The curriculum not only covers meeting the needs of individuals who want to remain in their home as they age but also the concept of Universal Design for all people, including those with accessibility and mobility challenges.
